| April 13th, 2005: Wild Salmon Policy
Multi-Interest Dialogue Forum
From Mark Saunders, DFO:
As a follow-up to the forum on March 2-3, 2005 a multi-interest
dialogue forum on the revised Wild Salmon Policy will be held on
Saturday, April 30, 2005 in Richmond BC. During the consultation
process that began on December 17, 2004, we received hundreds of
letters, faxes, e-mails and detailed submissions from First Nations,
stakeholders, organizations and the public. In addition to formal
submissions, 85 people attended a two-day multi-interest dialogue
forum in Richmond on March 2-3, 2005 that was integral to the development
of a revised Wild Salmon Policy. At the April 30 forum, we will
review the revisions made to the policy as a result of consultations.
An agenda and the revised policy document will be available on
the following website on April 22, 2005.
