| September 8th, 2005: Seymour Salmon
Hatchery Volunteer Update
From Seymour
Salmonid Society:
Hi Everyone,
We will conducting another hatchery pool seine on Thursday September
15th.
Time: 9:30 at the hatchery.
Should be finished around 12pm. We will be continuing with our
adult marking for coho enumeration program.
Just as a note, some of you are not able to come up during week
days for a seine, so I hope to arrange a seine for a weekend in
early October for those that are unable to attend week days. Stay
tuned......
Other activities and dates of interest to mark in your calender.
Depending on the pink salmon (where they are at in their spawning
cycle), we will be in the Indian River for Thursday Sept. 22nd or
Thursday Sept. 29th. This is a full day commitment, usually 7:00am
to 5:00pm. Brian will be heading up to the Indian River soon to
scout out things and see where the fish are in terms of spawning
and accessibility. I will send you more details closer to the dates.
Thanks for your help,
James Weger Volunteer
