Black Tale - The Whirling Disease Invaders
Posted on January 26th, 2007 by Rodney Hsu, webmaster

Recently I came across a documentary by lifeonterra called "Black Tale - The Whirling Disease Invaders", which is worth to be watched by all anglers. Although the film features a problem that continues to thrive in streams of Montana, the same problem can also be found in parts of British Columbia. This film discusses the origin, cause and devastating effects of the disease on salmonids, as well as what anglers can do to prevent or slow down the spread of the disease.

Part two

The Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC also offers information on whirling disease and other aquatic invaders that are found in British Columbia. For more information, please go to this section of their website.
