Volunteers needed for McKay Creek restoration

Come out and help restore a jewel in the heart of the North Shore!

When: Saturday June 14, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, rain or shine

Where: Meet behind the Connell Tennis Centre at 3rd Street and Lloyd in North Vancouver

What: Planting to decommission a former trail and invasive species control in the new trail corridor

Come join Evergreen and the District of North Vancouver in helping restore and enhance streamside habitat in the McKay Creek watershed! We’ll be planting native trees and shrubs and rescuing trees from encroaching ivy. Be a part of this ongoing project to help Mosquito and McKay Creeks!

Everyone is welcome. Tools, gloves and refreshments will be provided.

Funding and in-kind support for this initiative generously provided by the District of North Vancouver and the Government of Canada’s Environmental Damages Fund.
