Gave it a shot this morning too. Water was clear, but was quite low still. Only saw a couple of risers, but nothing much really. Tried roe for most of the part and couldn't get any takers. I decided to change up and use blades. Within a couple of casts, i hooked into this 10" jack. Got a couple of more hits, but that's about it and decided to go home. Felt good to be out on the flow again.
Here's a pic of my little minnow.....................oh i guess that doesn't count as being skunked...........is it ??? ;D

fishinAddict forgot to mention. (especially for any newbie fishermen) the undersized jack was gently released, while in the water. :)

I was out this morning and me and two other guys had a bear move into our spot. We backed off and he sniffed around for a bit and then left. We saw a lot of chums already but no coho.
-
I believe any salmon has to be bigger than 12 inches may be wrong maybe someone can clarify this one for me, i usually dont catch jacks till this year
Minimum sizes in Region 2:
Coho = 25cm
Chinook, pink, sockeye, chum = 30cm

OH man all these jacks being caught! ionno what everyone eles thinks but dosent that mean that the there is a crap load of good sized coho just sitting at the mouth waiting for that rain? DAMN! nice fish cant wait to get out on the flow next weekend hopefully some rain will allow all kind to move into the river.
