Four Lower Mainland Lakes were stocked with rainbow trout by the Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery today (Sasamat (http://www.fishingwithrod.com/articles/2002/0502_01.html), Lafarge (http://www.fishingwithrod.com/articles/2006/0406_01.html), Como and Buntzen). Stocking data can be found at:

Rolley Lake was originally going to be stocked today but canceled as the park is not opened to public until April 1st.
More stocking updates will be available tomorrow.
The Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC has been a partner with Fishing with Rod since 2005. Stocking data is provided by each trout hatchery once they are done. Complete stocking data can be found at:

Does anyone (..Rod..) have any idea when the next round of stockings might occur? ie. the harrison and squamish area lakes....
Judging by last year, ~2 weeks after the initial stocking, I assume it will be soon.
Gotta love the triploids....
-
I just sent an email out, should receive an answer in the morning.
-
Squamish area lakes
They will likely be done the week of April 16th.
Harrison Area Lakes
Catchable stockings for Elbow, Grace and Lake of the Woods will hopefully be the week of April 16th. The hatchery has already stocked Lake Errock. Stacey Lake will be stocked in early May. Yearling rainbow will be stocked in late April/early May.
Alouette and Rice Lake
The hatchery is planning to stock Alouette Lake as well as Rice in North Vancouver.

wow that's great for the the allouette but what about Mike lake and rolley. any news on those two lakes Rodney.
-
Mike is probably be stocked right now as I type this. It is one of the five lakes that are scheduled to be stocked today. I will confirm with numbers later on when I receive the information.
Originally the hatchery was told that Rolley would not open until May 1st. I informed them yesterday that it was been opened since April 1st so they will make changes in their plan and hopefully stock it next week.
-
Great thanks Rod. I guess I better get the pontoon out there tomorrow.

Tentative stocking plans:

-
The link shows stocking 500 fish for Lafarge on June 15, why you say 150, Rod?
-
500 on June 15th.
150 on June 16th prior the family fishing event hosted by Cam.
Am I typing invisible words?? :o This is the third time today someone has misread or not reading my whole post. ???
-
Oooh! Apology. This is due to the problem of association or approximation. Your post didn't say it is extra stocking and people do not expect two successive days of stocking, so no one reads the date and thinks that it is the same stocking. ;D
By the way, what is the daily quota for the Lafarge during the family fishing event? 4 fish as usual?
-
Yep, four fish per day. People can fish by obtaining the free weekend license, but the existing freshwater regulations still apply. I believe Cam is still looking for volunteers to help him at the event as well.
