On my way out from the Cap, I left behind a rod in the parking lot. Actually, I gave some bugs to an old timer (Englishman Mike) in the parking lot and didn't realize that the only thing I did not put in the truck was my rod. Anyway, if someone has found a talon/islander combo please contact via phone at 604-868-3333 and ask for Rob. Reward offered of course.

That sucks ! :'( Did you drive back to check ? Someone may have found it and turned it in to the hatchery.

Hey There,
Mike and I are fishing tomorrow (Monday). I'll have a look around.
Any idea where you left it?

Stated in the original thread that it was the parking lot.

Oh man, that sucks! :'( Hope it turns up soon.
Keep the faith, man.

Checked the parking lot where you said you were parked.
Unfortunately, I didn't find it. Michael said he saw you leave then left soon after himself. He did not notice anything.
Call me if I can help.

Easy to do as I have done the same as have many others. What I do now is put in the vehicle as soon as I get to the truck or lay in on the hood of the truck facing the windshield. If I do forget to put it in I see it on the windshield before I start to drive away.
Of course I once put it in the back of the truck once and then it blew out and I was lucky a honest person found it and returned it. Not a bad idea to have your name and phone number on your rod also.

I still remember that rather clearly. ::) The drive to retrace the route... ;D
Rob, good luck, I've included a note in my Lower Mainland report for you (under Capilano River):
