Violeta and I leave next Tuesday for our place in Mexico's Copper Canyon. We are alongside the Urique River, and there is some fishing (catfish, carp, tilapia, a few bass, pike minnows). I expect to be there until early December. If any regular participant from this forum wants to come for a visit, I will be glad to put you up for a week for free. Bring your sleeping bag and remind me who you are. Link in my profile.

WOW that's a great offer. What a great community out there!
-

-
How hot does it get there? Looks like some good place.
-
but if anyone from FWR wanna come
i will accompany him with my own expense !

Liketofish: hottest time there is May-June, the last of the dry season. Temperatures reach 50, 51, 52 degrees some days. When the rains start it cools down considerably. By mid-October temperatures have moderated considerably. We are at the bottom of a two km. deep (top to bottom) canyon, so temperatures always vary a lot day and night. On top there are pine trees, peaches and apples, and sometimes snow. At the bottom there are mangos and papayas, and it never freezes.

when are you headed there? I'd be interested in going!

Derp: We expect to leave day after tomorrow (Tuesday). Violeta will be coming back in August, but I expect to be there until sometime in December. See you there?
-
Derp: I just reread your post. Perhaps you are looking for a ride? If so, I can't offer you one this time; the Trooper will be packed to the gills; it doesn't even have back seats at this point. Sorry.

Good luck, and have a blast!
