Well last night Chris explained to me what he was using (size of roe, etc) so out I went at around 9:10 this morning. My mom dropped me off on the way to work and I started walking in to my spot, I arrived at my spot at around 9:20 ish. I have confidence in this spot lately after retaining my first Steelhead there so I decided instead of rushing through it, I would take my time since I had all day.
I rigged up my hook with a roe sack about the size of a quarter. I started casting 5 casts at a time in 2 foot intervals while working my way up the run. I finally get to the head of the run and decide to take one last cast right beside the other edge. Well this turned out to be a good idea because about 20 feet downstream my float goes down :o. In all the excitment I pulled way too soon, got a headshake and the fish was gone :-\. I decide to keep trying and after 5 more casts the float goes down again, this time I wait for the headshake and soon a very large fish rockets towards me, takes a jump and snaps me off when it hits the water >:( >:(....
Frustrated I sat down and again I decided to try the roe. I take about 5 more cats with another tap and after that I didnt get anything for about 5 mins so I decided I was going to try something new. Off came the row and I put on a #2 Colorado. About 8 or 9 casts later my float goes down again, I slowly ease back, get the headshake and set the hook. The fish starts thrashing around and come into the shallow clear water close to the edge. I see it is not nearly as big as the first one but I get it to the edge and see its about an 8 pound hatchery and decided to retain it. I kill it at around 10 and start heading home...
Today was an amazing day on the flow, only saw one other angler and ended my day by hooking 3 fish in a span of about 40 mins. I think some of Chris' luck rubbed off on me, Chris could I have some more please? :D
Here are a couple pics of it, again in my backyard ;D

Atta-boy Everyday
It looks like a clone of the one I smoked saturday
It's kinda like the fish know when the pressures off and they move up quickly.
As everyone knows moving fish are biting fish ;D

Nice fish E.D. Following someone like Chris's advice is a smart move unless its choosing the best hockey team,(GoNucks). Sure is nice to see a chromer like that. I might just head out tomorrow, even less people. Thanks for sharing that with us. :)

Glad you had success today. ;D ;D You certainly did the right thing by changing up your offering, always a good thing to do when you find that there are fish in the run your are fishing.
Also by going to a spot where you have had success before is a good move as in a lot of cases if you get a fish there one day you will find another there in the near future.
Keep getting out there as much as you can as we should have some good steelheading for a few weeks yet and you are in the groove now.

ED, two words...
Rain jacket. ;D

Lol I had a rain jacket (a pioneer fishing jacket) on, it wasnt raining when I got home (or while I was fishing), I was sweating really bad because I had to walk home from way above the Crossing Bridge in a sweatshirt and jacket (I dressed warmly since it was cold out this morning) and at about 10 it got really sunny and warm so it was a tiring walk. The reason my hair was soaked was because I was wearing a hat that is insulated on the inside so I was very warm. Maybe next time I'll call for a ride ;D.

Way to go

How was the river Every Day
up, low, dirty, etc ???
I am heading out in the morning
-
River was perfect! About 2ft visbility and the water seemed to be the perfect height, for the spot I was in anyways. It has come up a bit but for the 40 minutes I was there the water kept getting clearer. Im assuming this will hold and you should have a great time tomorrow, hopefully we can get a few more reports! Im gonna give it another go sometime in the morning.

No I was not, I never use pink worms, I have never even hooked a Steelhead on a pink worm so I fins it pointless to use them when I can use colorados or wool (sometimes roe)

Yes it is all worth it in the end.... I'm still very disappointed about the 2nd one I lost, the thing musta weighed about 16 pounds no joke, it was massive, one jump snapped my leader and sent my weights back towards my head, but at least I finally got another one, hopefully I can do the same thing tomorrow..... and then homework :(..
