Title: Recycle That Can
Post by: chris gadsden on April 25, 2008, 04:41:39 PM
My friends laugh at me for always picking up discarded tins and bottles but did you know that :
By recycling one aluminum can it saves enough energy to light a 100- watt bulb for 3 and one half hours. Recycling aluminum saves 95% of the energy costs of processing new aluminum.

More energy saving facts to follow. ;D

Take that single aluminum can and multiply it by every can recycled in 2007 and you have saved enough energy to light a 100 - watt light bulb for every man , women and child in BC for 8 hours a day for close to 5 weeks.

I can just see you!! You'll be pulling a little wagon behind your bike, so you still have somewhere to put your plucks and squishies.  ;D

It's good to see people cleaning up our environment. Maybe if the jerks who litter see someone picking up someone elses garbage they will think twice about littering
