Does anyone know of any updates on the salmon fishing closure in California and Oregon?
Latest headlines that I could find are from April, when the decision was taken to shut down fishing in many areas down south.

This has the potential to affect the entire fishery system as far up north as Alaska, as (some) fishermen may move up north for their catch... Anyhow, it is a wake up call that this sort of thing can affect us in the near future...
Don't mean to be redundant on this subject; I checked the archive and also looked at the April/May postings here, but didn't find a good discussion on this topic.
