Does anyone have tips for fishing on the island around New Years? Areas that might be worth a visit....The Stamp is the only area I am familiar with....Does anyone have any other suggestions  ???

I have family in Victoria and Campbell river. It is possible to get a room for a night somewhere else if the fishing is good. I have centerpin or level wind. I'm guessing steelhead is the only thing around at this time?

I plan on heading over to the Stamp Area in about a week. I actually have nothing planned out really yet. I'm hoping to get in to fish. That's all that really matters to me. LOL. I'd love to hear of any cheap hotel/motels in the area i can crash at instead of sleeping out of my truck or a tent.

That's where we stay when we fish the Stamp. Easy access to the river

Somass is the only way to go.
