Title: Anyone have soldering skills....need a couple of wires soldered on Fishing Buddy
Post by: mastercaster on March 14, 2009, 05:21:08 PM
One of my fish finders (Fishing Buddy) needs the two wires that are attatched to the battery bar/mechanism that holds the batteries in the handle soldered.

I've had this fishfinder forever and taking the batteries out after every use has caused the two wires to wear and eventually break off. Anyone else have this happen to them?  Wonder if it occurs frequently?  I never used to take the batteries out but far too many times the finder accidentally got turned on for whatever reason and I'd find dead batteries.

I may be able to help out if you're in the Chilliwack area.

Thanks for the offer but I found out after looking at the problem again that it didn't need soldering, just a piece of ground wire to be added on to the battery clip and a new (I have no idea what they're called) push on clip that holds the wire to it.
