Received some sad news while dog walking on the lower Vedder this morning … the LeafMobile, that venerable powder blue ( well, it used to be powder blue) import owned by famous Leaf supporter Chris Gadsden, is terminally ill. I am told she (?) will be euthanized as soon as her replacement is found. Unfounded rumours suggest it was that last bag of beer bottles that broke her back and spirit. So sad.
I understand a wake will be held soon at the local bottle depot. The Gadsden clan is taking this hard and I’m sure would be pleased to read your condolences for this Vedder legend.

Like the hockey team it's time to strip her down and rebuild. ;D

Did the wheels fall off the leafmobile? ;D The wheels seem to fall off the leafs every year so maybe it is some thing contagious. ;D ;D

Chris hasnt responed to this yet, he must be in a state of severe depression. Looks like it finished the same way the leafs have this year.

Made a trip out to the Fraser River this evening as she wanted a last look at one of her favorite rivers. She was delighted that the trip yielded $15 dollars worth of bottles and has asked if that could go to another tank of gas as she thinks she has a few miles left yet. :-\
In the meantime she has asked me to ask you forum members that have followed her adventures over the years on FWR that in case of a sudden death what her replacement should be. The one stipulation she has said of course it must be Leaf blue.
-
the don't make that colour anymore it's more canuck blue

Leaf Mobile #2 purchased today, now I will be able to sneak around the river without being noticed. ;D ;D
Leaf Mobile #1 is looking for a new home as she is scared to have to go to the bone yard but it may be hard to find a loving Leaf home in the condition she is in. :(

Met the Leafmobile 2 this morning – although I am sworn to secrecy as to her identification, I can say it is much spiffier and a whole lot better smelling than LM1. LM2 obviously knows it’s lot in life as she was loaded with sundry garbage and beer cans already.
The fate of LM 1 is still unknown but I am told several universities are bidding on the rights to “dig on her”, archeologically speaking. Apparently, much can be learned from past civilizations by exhumation and because so much borax has been spilled on her, preserving everything, she is a perfect candidate. Who knows what treasures will be discovered , deep among the wheel wells! CG himself expects them to find several items long missing, such as goose decoys and a pair of thigh high Trout Kings.

Has Chris considered renaming it as the Canuckmobile? Has a nice ring to it and might even go all the way.....

HAHAH the canucks are finished, just like LM1! im giving up on them!
