Nice. I was out today as well. Didn't get started until about 9er. I hate missing firstlight!
Started up top. slow slow slow. Got one jack spring and a few pinks. Stopped at a few different spots as I worked my way down river.
Finished the day in the canal. Ended up with 3 jack springs, 2 jack coho and a bunch of pinks.
It was a pretty slow day for me. Action was inconsistant.
I did see a MONSTER white landed up top. I'd say probably 35-40#'s. Friggin huge. I couldn't resist taking a pic......not very often you see fish that big on the vedder. I'll post it later.

thanks, the line is suffix mono, it's got a color spectrum to it, with a few varying colors. I like it even better than Maxima.
-
Ya, I've had issues with Maxima fading, getting memory, and not casting well after a day or two. Izorline and Big Game is much better line.
-
Nice catch hue, noticed alot more people out today.

Managed to get out again today to try the same honey hole for the coho that was holding there. Indeed they were still there as I got in very late in the day but the action only lasted for 30 minutes and died out for the rest of the day. Still a good day landing this 13# buck for my trip, tomorrow it will be trekking day for the next honey hole.

Beauty coho, scales... I'm taking my sister to the Vedder on Saturday. It'll be her first time in over 15 years - hope I can help her find a beauty like that.

I have yet to catch a hatch over 3lbs this season.
Very impressive.
-
who else has noticed that the water is SUPER low and clear right now
-
Ummmm.... would that have anything to do with the lack of rain, YG ?
-
its this el nino bs that we're having. I doubt we'll have snow for the OLYMPICS. the next rain and the river should get a BIG push of springs
