Title: Video on Short Floating the Vedder
Post by: gcal on September 30, 2009, 01:12:45 PM
I'm new to salmon fishing, and just started this season fishing the pinks.  Quite successfully, via casting spoons from shore.  I learned pink fishing via this site and forum.

I want to continue with best and ethical practices.  I want to fish the Vedder and I've been reading up on short floating and bar fishing.

I really enjoyed the video series that Rod produced regarding bar fishing and I think I'm confident and knowledgeble enough about that method.

REQUEST:

Rod, if you can, could you please produce another series of videos on "short floating techniques and equipment" for use on the Vedder?   I think this will go a LONG way in educating newbies that want to do this ethically.   I read most of the forum and I think I understand most of the methodology, but seeIng it visually, will really help.

P.S.  I enjoyed (actually repulsed) by the earlier posts linking videos of people kicking back fish.   I think we need other videos showing how to do it properly.

Thanks.

Hi gcal, thanks for the feedbacks. Yes more instructional video series are being considered and developed so there will very likely be one on float fishing for coho salmon in the near future. :)

That's the creative side in me :)

If you're having problems with paypal, I know that Rod has been willing to take cheques in past and may even accept cold hard cash if it comes with a tip to a good fishing spot :)

isn't short floating just using an 18 inche or less leader?
