Does anyone know where there is somewhere to fish from shore by the stave for sturgeon? I realize the mouth is good but we live in chilliwack and it sucks when we drive all the way out there and theres no where to fish. Talked to a guy there the other day and he said something about a dock just down the road that they do good at does anyone know where it is?
Thanks

give mission bridge area a try little closer and good area for sturg

Seems like the most popular spot that I see shore anglers going after sturg is just west of the Mission bridge on the Abbotsford side. That is a well known spot because the river drops very fast so you can cast out to the deeper water.

You could also try fishing Ballam Road this time of year. With all the pink fishing at the Peg Leg area this year there are sure to be some sturgeon around in that area. An added bonus is that you won't even have to leave the Wack.

The log booms by the mouth by the kanka are good!

I've heard there is a spot across from the Info booth just above the mission bridge. If you are in Chilliwack I would try some shore below the mouth of the Vedder or near Island 22 boat launch.

informationbooth bar above Mission Ive seen fish caught there, kinda snaggy though
Id go past that to Sylvester road turn right and fish across from teh quarry at Slide bar or Slaughterhouse
