We spent a couple of days fishing around Como Lake. Yesterday, just to relax but also to get a better idea on how much usage it gets by anglers. Fishing was not too bad, a bite every ten minutes or so. The pace was pretty slow so rather relaxing with the odd fish mixed in between.

Lots of brown bullhead (catfish) in the shallow waters. Bottom fishing with bait resulted in too many of those on the hook, while float fishing seems to be a better option.

Overall it wasn't crowded at all. Although the floating docks were pretty occupied, there were many spots available along the shoreline. We also ran into quite a few people on the forum, nice chatting with all. :)

I tried Como Lake for the first time on Sunday and it was quite productive. Lots of shore casters but very few people out on the water, so it was enjoyable. Olive Doc Spratley on my intermediate sink was deadly. ;)
Fished Mike lake on Friday and in spite of the radical weather it also produced well. Olive Spratley was the
ticket also.

Is Como Lake no longer an "age restricted" fishery?

Last year they removed the age restriction on the lake

I haven't fished Como lake for over 15 years due to the age restrictions. Wow, I'm surprised they removed the age restrictions.
