Went to Lafarge for a few hours today. Lots of fly guys catching them on chironomids. I Landed only 5 but lost 12.

No, I was fishing from shore. But I might bring my belly boat next week.

you should defintely bring the belly boat out. I was one of the guys anchored in a blue pontoon catching tons on chironies today  ;) between our group of 3 we probably netted close to 80fish maybe even more as i wasnt counting. We also lost probably 3 times as many strikes  :'(

Im sure i have said before around here somewhere. today it was Pornomids in size 14 but usually i just use a black body/red ribbed/copper beadhead size 14 and have no trouble getting fish all day. hang it down anywhere between 4-6 feet will do the trick in almost any area of the lake. Today the fishing seemed best right in the middle which was great cause the shore guys couldnt hit us with their casts  ;D

Hey Hook - what flies were you using???  Netted how many fish???  You forgot to mention that the gunmetal chromie with the black and red rib worked well too.  But I will say that those pornomids you tied are very nice and thanks for the sample. I need to find me some VHS tape... ;)

Hey BCfisherman97 - where on the shore were you?  I was the guy in the green V-boat (Super fat cat) fishing with Hook and his dad (the 2 pontoon boats).

I was on the shore closest to the parking lot.  I might go right now and see if I can get into a few.

hey hey now were not supposed to be talking out loud about the Porno !! LOL I wasnt going to mention your chromy fly, i figured i would let you do that which you did.

and i did say between the 3 of us we netted loads  ;D I actually didnt net a single one because i dont use my net on ones i can land by hand.

FFM - you need to pester your wife into letting you out more buddy. Perhaps you can join us at Logan for a day or get her to come camping on the May long  ;D or let you get away on your own for the weekend ha ha ha ha we both know that wont happen  :-X
