Title: Nootka Sound Information
Post by: marshal on July 19, 2010, 08:28:22 PM
I have a trip planned for Nootka Sound in early August.

I am looking for any salmon fishing info for that area, such as trolling tips, lure selection, etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

It is nice in August as you have Springs in the Sound and don't have to go to far. Hoiss Point , Camel Rock and The Wall should all be producing. Three bay across from Critter Cove is a good bet.
I always liked Wonder Spoons, Coyote Spoons with the odd Hootchie or Herring thrown in the mix.

Thanks SH.

I've managed to find Hoiss Point and Camel Rock on a map/chart.  Where are the Wall and 3 Bay from those two?

What sizes of spoons should I be bringing?

OK, I figured out where Three Bay is.... can anyone tell me where "The Wall" is located?

Between Three bay and Galiano Bay , same side as Cougar Creek.
