Deceided to hit a local beach at first light in hope of a Coho on the fly
but there was no sign of anything so i moved to another beach but this time using spinner gear
there was only one other fisherman (local guy) there and he said it was dead with no fish showing
as i was chating to him I see a fish jump right behind him
so i cast in that general direction and on my second cast and before i could get a full wind on the reel
bang! fish on :o
it exploded out of the water so i new it was a good size :D (not the one i saw jump as it was a smaller fish)
then it started taking line and i had to tighten the drag, after a short fight it was on the beach
A nice chrome Coho
I weighed it at home, 10lbs gutted :)
what a great morning I was home by 7.30am

Did you put your waders back on when you got home so you could pose with the fish on the balcony? ;D ;D ;D
Nice fish for sure, gotta love it when they grab the lure when it is still sinking. I find those takes are the most exciting because they are so unexpected.
