Plenty of chum in the river now as well as people targeting them, yesterday afternoon extra water was released from the dam (water was deeper when I crossed channel to get out at end of day) and there were lots of fresh fish around. Landed 5 remarkably clean fish in 2 and a half hours on, 1 on a jig and 4 on blades, and bonked one super clean 10lb female still covered in sea lice 8) Not a fan of dead fish pics so you will have to use your imagination ;)

You know what they say Banny.........pics or it didn't happen ;D I'm sure you look at the fish porn, so take your camera next time. Thanks for the report ;)

Pics I leave up to the discretion of the poster. Too many times I have read reports where the fishermen has been taken to task for poor fish handling skills. The end result is that the fisherman has to defend himself, and in some cases that is the last post from them. Anyhow, back to the Stave, good report Banny.....it looks like the only time I will hit the Stave this year is early in the day and on weekdays.

did really well for coho today at the stave, limit in 5 minuets, one was 32 inches, big acrobatic bucks

Have pretty much stopped taking photos of fish while fishing solo other than stillwater or small stream fishing where I have a nice soft net to handle the fish in. Don't let the lack of photos diminish the believability of the post ;)
No signs of enforcement of the west side parking restrictions. Surprised someone has not destroyed all the signs already....

Was there yesterday morning at the wrong tide (it was the only time I could go) :-[
Didn't hook into anything although I saw a chum already showing its colors and spots in one of the side channels off the river.
As as side note - I saw plently of vehicles parked on the west side of the river - in the area clearly marked as 'No Parking'. Didn't see any tickets or any tow vehicles. Figure it will be just a matter of time (possibly next weekend) when there will be quite a number of upset vehicle owners.
