I've been suckered into going to help with my wife's Scout camp one Lone Duck Bay this weekend... Hoping to throw a fly a bit on my spare time... suggestions? any recent reports?
Thanks.

That was a week ago so maybe there is some melted areas to wet a line.

Urgh... not terribly promising :(

My wife told me I wouldn't have much free time anyway so I didn't take the time to get the fishing gear out. Turns out that this weekend was ice-off. Lone duck bay went from having a narrow 10ft strip of open water to being totally ice free by the time we left on Monday.
Didn't see ANY rises.
Lots of cool birds though.. (see other thread (http://www.fishingwithrod.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=29221.msg288070#msg288070)) and some decent weather. FAR different from Vancouver's weather.

Was snowing there this morning. :)
