Hi guys/gals, I recently purchased some Rapala fishing lures, and as you might or might not know, they come with two treble hooks on each lure. I know for any stream, I'd need to replace both with a single barbless hook, but do these need to be modified for lake fishing? Thanks in advance!

For lakes where there are no specific hook regulations, treble hooks are permitted to be used. Whether one or two trebles can be used on a lure is not completely clear and up for interpretation by anglers. Some suggest they are allowed since you are still only using one lure on the line, personally I take one off just to be on the safe side. Phone the local conservation office and see what they say.

for streams its only one single barbless hook not 2.

Yup, I guess my sentence isn't really clear. What I meant to say is that I'd need to remove both trebles and replace with a single barbless :)
