Title: kokanee fishing any good
Post by: liketofish on June 05, 2013, 03:16:29 PM
With weather warming, is Allouette kokanee biting yet? I was there almost a month ago. Lots of fish on fish finder but no bite. How about Kawkawa Lake? Have the kokanee there started to bite again? Any update is highly appreciated.

Ive found the last 2 years the kokes have been so small its not worth targeting them.

I was at Allouette sat. Last weekend averaged a keeper every 30mins. Biggest was just under 12" most between 10.5"-11.5" I was using full sink on a 2wt with a snell hook and worm. The other side was ford fender with 8"leader to a snell and worm. Both do equally well.
