I have an opportunity to go salmon fishing last week of June , how is the fishing at that time ? Will there be any halibut at that time of the month ?

the west coast is a big place from north to south the island has, a lot of places to fish, as long as you get off shore you should be able to get your limit with some hard work, there will be halibut spring and coho to be had, hatchery coho are a little harder to come by. depending where on the west coast you are. some places you can keep un marked coho. good luck, sockeye should be around too if you are near barkey sound.

I will be around Ucluet area , will there be any halibut around ?

All the halibut in Ucluelet usually start their epic journey to Japan on the 22nd of June so the bottom of Eastern Pacific Ocean literally becomes empty, but there'll be at least one not participating in this annual migration. ;D

Yes, there are plenty around right now. Limited the boat two days ago on them and springs with lots of time left in the day so we went whale watching ;)
Lighthouse Bank and off Long Beach were both producing.
Have FUN! ;D
