Anyone know who carries a 12' ugly stick in the surrey area. Need a sturgeon rod that I can cast further. My 8 foot Amundsen just doesn't do it for me. Thanks, Dave

Saw them the other day at the Army and Navy in New West

Langley Army & Navy has a nice 10' Rapala Magnum Heavy sturgeon rod for levelwind at $90. I bought it, and it is tough as nails! They also now sell an Ugly Stick sturgeon spinning rod for $70, but I am not sure its 10', maybe 9'? Looks beefy.
I like my Rapala. I can sling 20oz no worries, obviously that amount of weight you arne't going for extreme distance cause I also use 100lb power pro, but I get it into Dinoland ;).

Thanks guys, I was thinking of the rapalla too. I have an 8' Amundsen but it just doesn't get it out there. Especially when there is a steep bank. If I can't find the 12 foot baitcaster, I'll probably get the magnum

I had the same problem. berry has 12 foot ugly stiks I think, but the 12 foot heavy model is only rated 40 pound test, which is not that big of a deal, as long you have the proper reel. the only thing was, the lure rating was only 12 oz. so I opted for the extra heavy model. 12 foot ugly stik. its rated 50 pounds and the lure rating is 24 oz. so you can chuck a sheit load of lead across the river. i had to shorten the butt end about half a foot, cause i like to brace the rod end against my hips. before that the end of the rod was between my legs. not a very pleasant feeling. this rod is almost unbreakable and casts quiet far. that's the model nr. BWC 1102 12 foot. it took the tackle store about one week to order it in for me.

I was looking at the bwc1102, but army and navy said 4-6 weeks to get it in. Forgot to mention I was looking for a bait casting model. Gonna have to call berrys tomorrow
Thanks
