Arrived at the river at first light and found a nice spot. Fish are still rolling but very few are willing to bite. And you have to be very picky if you want to take some home. I picked two decent does. I had most of my success on dark coloured jigs, lots of bottom bouncers still out and retaining toxic tigers ::). I have made my last trip to the Stave for this year but if you time your outing with the tide you may still run into the odd chrome fish. Overall, a great day on the flow. ;)

I know the bucks bellies get drk but noticed the does don't but they get those drker stripes.. Hole they turn out good on the smoker and let us know how they tasted.

Let us know how you do Sinaran.
The fish was baked with some salt, pepper, lemon juice and garlic and tasted great.

Glad to hear that and upon second glance its not surprising because they still had a few chrome scales!

Very nice! Especially for this time of year.

These fish turned a little darker after being killed, they were very close to chrome with light bars before being bonked.
I lost one that was like these two near shore. The chrome fish "bite" only lasted about 15 minutes then it was all zombies again.

Nice find. Thanks for the report. Know what you mean about them turning darker after they've been dispatched.

Noticed the same thing last Sunday. For some reason the does really key into white over pink jigs.

was there for one last kick on the 19th. the weather was surprisingly great for the date. The fishing wasn't great for me that outing. i went 3 for 5 for chums in 5 hours. All 3 fishes were well past their prime and one of them was even spawned out. the hookup rate is way down from a week before and most of the fish that we could see from bare eyes were either spawned out just waiting to expire or about to spawn. We were fishing from the west side of the river the whole time, and by 3pm just before we left, there were only 4 fishermen i could see of.
