Fished the Brunet today with Adanac and hooked into 7 nice trout. 3 of the trout were cuttthroat and the other 4 were nice rainbows. all trout ranged from 7 to 11 inches but the cuttroat were the bigger ones.We fished near Hume park and walked up river for a long time (20 mins). We fished in about 5 holes which ranged from 3 to 7 feet deep and in all holes we atleased hooked into 1 trout. We also caught 10 squas which were about 4 inches ;We were float fishing with worm for all the time. But no sight of bass ??? I think the bass might be closer to deer lake. Overall a pretty decent day of fishing. O ya and there are lots of crayfish DO NOT GO IN THE WATER BARE FOOT ;D :D :o ?? :D ;D :D

Fisher, what is the river like. Is it slow or fast moving? Can you wade in, or is it strictly casting from shore.
Where would you park, at Hume Park?

fly nut, it is only about 20 feet wide and 4 feet deep in most spots but there is some nice holes. you can easily wade in the water. in some spots it looks just liek a slough and is some spots it looks like a big fast moving creek.
Thanks, Adanac.

as if anyone really cares but largemouth and smallmouth bass are 2 different family class fish. largemouth being like rockfish family and smallmouth in the perch family. no offense fulcrum...just a correction. :)...heading to the keith wilson on thursday by the bridge....buddy pulled up a 17 pounder last saturday under the bridge on red with white wool. sweet!

20 feet wide river/creek, and having a 24 feet long pole (mine, yours is 27 feet or so).. and 4 feet deep... emmmm... that makes for some nice long poling - agreed. I am in, Otto. Again PM me whenever.
