Title: Roe Limits
Post by: TheLostSockeye on October 23, 2015, 10:56:49 AM
Hi all im wondering if there are limits on the amount of cured roe you can carry as you fish? im not talking about roe from a doe fish you just killed.
See i go fishing with an assortment of different roes and all colours of the rainbow and it was brought to my attention that i can get in trouble for carrying to much roe at a time. Im not sure if this applies to cured roe that i use for fishing?

If anyone can chime in that would be great thanks.

1kg per Pg 9 of the current synopsis:

Quote
you must not have more than 1 kg of
roe (fish eggs) in your possession for use
as bait unless the roe was obtained from a
commercial source that lawfully obtained
that roe, or you have in your possession
the freshly dressed fish from which the
roe in excess of 1 kg was taken. Carry a
receipt with you if you purchased roe from
a commercial source
