Yes, occasionally. Usually accompanied by the fish crapping in my boat.

That was well worth the 1:23. Thank you Rodney.

I noticed it was a silent movie. Speed it up 1.5x and stick the Benny hill music on it. You're welcome. :)

Don't worry I have reported this video to Conservation Officers, DFO, and the RCMP. But I kinda think the fish entrapped him so there may not be a case.

well it's quite unlikely you will find a factory trout on the 'endangered or at risk species' list here in BC........

I have had that happen before. Also have had them jump in the boat without even being hooked, guess some fish just want to die.

??? Grow up, what was he supposed to do, capsize the boat? In a situation like that you don't really have time to think it through. That could happen to anyone.

Pretty sure he was expressing hyperbole.
Don't worry, I have forward his post to the appropriate language authorities. The consequences for expressing hyperbole without a corresponding emoji are quite severe.

Sometimes, life is simply not fair.

BanannaQ.....I just replayed that video over in my head... your way....you are right, it's way better!! ;D ;D

I've had that happen several times - mostly with kokanee. And it never seems to fail that the fish you want to release is the one that goes bouncing around in the boat. I've had to keep a few because it was just too much for the fish with the stress and scale loss.
It makes you feel pretty bad but what do you do when they launch themselves into the boat and come off?
Oh and then it's even more special when there are other boats around to witness this as the poor fish beats itself inside your tin boat.
It's not the first and it won't be the last.

Nah ,it happens only to greenhorns.
