I look after a section of the Stoney creek system in Burnaby for garbage, water testing and modest journal. I'm curious if anyone else monitors systems and how the fry were looking so far this year. I'm a helper on a stretch just behind the house, so I get a pretty good look daily; this year the Coho fry are as abundant as I've ever seen. The critically low water last year nearly wiped out the stock, but, I hope to see in a few years how we did. Chum returns looked average at the dam this year, but, the fish looked pretty rotten early in the run.
Water temps have remained around 14.4 - 14.7. Other reading are pretty constant as well.
Just curious.
