Post by: top fuel on October 29, 2016, 11:52:42 AM
I'm just wondering how many fish. People keep.  Chris sounds like he fishes every day rod fishes a lot   Just how many fish do they keep in a season.

Per year?

~30 coho
~8-10 chinook
~6-8 steelhead
~6-8 chum
Stopped fishing the harvest fishery on the Fraser for sockeye so 0 in that category
Plus the odd pink
Plus a few trout here and there in the spring, some walleye if I do a Columbia River trip.

Typically put in 80-100 days per year.

In the last year I have kept 5 Trout and 4 Crabs.
Probably the least amount ive kept since I started fishing.
I may have kept a Coho too but I cant remember that far back.

2-3 Coho
2-3 Trout
8-10 Kokanee
Couple crabs
I've only done the Fraser Sockeye thing once

I'm virtually all catch and release - my fish days per year also vary, maybe 25 days this year total, unfortunately.  The fish I keep are for family and friend dinners, I don't eat it.  Other than a few that my Dad smokes and gives back to me.
