Title: Best day for fishing?
Post by: BirdNester on August 05, 2004, 11:58:48 PM
What is the best day to go fishing, in general? Forget about FN openings and Commercial openings... pretend those didn't exist... When would be the least amount of recreational fishermen out there? I am guessing first light is the best time, but when is the best day? First light monday?

My best days are the days I'm on the river, regardless of FN and commercial openings.

I don't mean for catching fish, I mean for peace and quiet.

go to the vedder any time now just about and it will be dead quite due to the fraser gong show (which I participate in).

There is no peace and quiet on the fraser during sockeye season.  People camp out on the bar and wake up to find 5 people standing on the bank infront of them.  At peg leg on the weekend, guys were there 2 hours before day light they said...its insane.  The fish cycle thru 24-7 when their running.  I arrived later and left sooner to (with my 3 fish).

I have found around 12 and 4 isnt a bad time as people cycle out.
