Title: Trailer versus Camper Tips
Post by: WEEFISH on July 02, 2019, 06:08:17 PM
Truck and Camper with boat trailer and tips for getting this set up ? Do you like them ....good or bad opinions?

Getting close to 50 and looking for lake set up.

Boat loader and trailer would be the other option what does everyone prefer. Would love any feedback  :D

It all depends on your fishing time.
If you have the time to get to a lake, set up your trailer, set up your boat, and be there for a length of time, this setup would be most comfortable.

If you are more of a weekend warrior, truck camper and boat on a trailer is a much quicker set up and take down for a two day trip.

If you go by yourself or one other, the truck camper is good. If you travel with a family, nothing beats the space of a trailer.

Depends on what kind of lakes you prefer.
Typically where you can take a trailer, fishing won't be that good.
Unless is somewhere far from lower BC.
I just came back from a trip where I was catching 60 trout a day.
Where loones are your only companions and want to steal your fish.
Many times 5 casts 5 fish etc.
You couldn't get a trailer up there.

Yeah, you can be pretty limited.

I see guys with campers at the forest service sites
Out back and guys with trailers at the Provence campgrounds.

It’s a generalization but it’s what o tend to see.

Out in the woods also seen guys with utility trailers with there tin boat on them. And just have a sleeper camper in their truck.

Ha,ha yeah that's where you want to be.
Isn't that tailer a little big for that truck?
We had a group of guys from Kelowna roll in their RAM 1500 and promptly got stuck in a mud hole.
I would recommend to be sober at least on your way in  ;D
