Any tips on shore fishing ?  And what to  expect to catch

Obvious ones, creek mouths and Cutthroat.

It’s a tough sell from shore, expect pike minnows and coarse fish primarily, with the odd Cutty mixed in. Fish structure (bays, points, creek mouths). Keep your eyes open for active fish.
