Hi Im fairly new to the whole salmon fishing thing I’ve trolled around north van for coho but never had much luck. I know the pinks are starting to return at this time of year and I wanted to know what would be some good spots to fish for them. I only have a small little boat so I can’t do any giant ocean crossings to get to fishing spots, but any recommendations of places around Howe sound, north van or Indian arm would be very appreciated. Thanks so much!

south end of Bowen Island 60-80' deep, small pink hootchies and flashers

Indian River fish usually stop at West van/Dundarave beach and Cates park beach on their travels. in 20' of water, hoochies and flashers or jig with pinks jigs.

Thanks so much I’m going to try Bowen on a calm day this week.

Hi went to bowen a few days ago and had great success there’s lots of fish out there and I was wondering how much longer the fish should hang around they’re for?

Bowen’s bit a bit of an anomaly this year. Don’t remember it being like this the last few cycles.
That being said won’t need to go to Bowen I heard guys starting to catch pinks off north arm now.

with this rain they will likely move to the their rivers very quickly now.
