When I was getting my gear ready for the Pink fishery, I noticed my back-up reel wasn't in the best of shape. Instead of trying to clean it up, thought I should just get another reel since that one is over 10 year's old.
I'm looking at 3 possible options in no particular order
1. Shimano Sienna RG
2. Daiwa Revros LT
3. Pfleuger President XT
Since this is a back-up reel, not wanting to spend a lot of money and all these are are presently going for under $70
I know they are all fairly entry level reels and surely can't go wrong with the price point, is there one that might be better than the rest for any reason though and why
Thanks

I would go with the Daiwa. I feel that on the lower end stuff, Shimano cheaps out too much especially on the bail and the way it opens and closes

I use one like this: https://www.amazon.ca/Shimano-Spinning-Reel-model-IX-4000R/dp/B0038YYI1C/ref=asc_df_B0038YYI1C/?hvadid=335213504813&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1919391334734382982&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9001501&hvtargid=pla-488166775813&th=1&psc=1
Having the drag control on the bottom makes it easier if you need to adjust it in the middle of landing a fish.
It also has a "trigger' control for the bail - which I don't use but some people find helpful (you pull on the trigger & it pulls back the bail).
The most useful thing that I find with the reel is the bail "locks" in right place when opened.

I have two okuma ceymars c20 and c30
They are under 70$ and really great, have caught springs on these reels
Regarding Shimano, I agree with coastangler, have used the cheaper ones in the past(not the same model) and they do feel they will fall apart soon

Thanks, I think I'll have to go and try them all out first. But am leaning towards the Daiwa Revros for now

take a look at the penn persuit 4 2500 great ht100 drag. aluminum spool very smooth around 70 at cabelas

I have all three of those reels
The revros is a knuckle buster. Either the bail arm is bigger or the foot is shorter but it’s a real pain.
The shimano is ok and has lasted a long time but the drag washers have had to be replaced a few times.
The president is my favorite of these three. It’s my go to for twitching. It feels light and the foot is noticeably longer.

Thanks, I was hoping someone would have some first hand knowledge of the Pfleuger. I'll go to Cabelas tomorrow and try all the suggestions out.
Thanks everyone

Shimano is king, but they're also very pricey. I've had no problems with the Pfleuger spin reels I've used and own many. They're pretty and work super well - I've never used them in salt.
