Hi People,

What flies would you guys recommend for steelhead?

Depends on the time of year and the river.

Generally I'd suggest something old school like a Green Butt Skunk in a #4. If the water is high and perhaps a bit colored use a larger size. If it's lower and clear use sizes 6 to 10.

My most successful pattern in the last several years was a black and blue hobo spey. If you want to skate a dry fly try a grease liner. All these pattern should be available on line or at a good tackle shop.
