I knew there use to be a lake there but had no idea how long ago the changes happened and what was involved in the changes.
Another case of how humans can destroy the land. Said it was for farming but now there are many chicken and turkey barns in the area. Which could have been built in many other areas. It amazes me the total lack of humanity toward FN that existed and still does.

I read a picture book about it like two years ago. It said they found live sturgeon in the mud many years later! crazy to think about. The land is very fertile because of its proximity to the ocean and all the sediments and nutrients that accumulated overtime from the fraser.
