what is the difference between hardy centerpin rod set up than the normal center pin rod....i saw the butt end at the hardy set up was way shorter ,almost like a fly rod.

Should be the same. Not sure what you're asking.

hi,fish assassin,i had 3 centerpin rod myself, including one is a lamiglas centerpin rod, normal center pin rod the butt end approx 6 inches long, but the other one i saw was a custom build(hardy set up)only had about 2 inches long.and use two rings to push up against the centerpin reel sit for fastening.i quess you have to use difference ways to load up and cast??

My center pins are set up approx. 6" from the butt. I have never seen a reel seat 2" from the butt but I guess that's a personal preference. From my experience I find Hardy reel seats with those two rings tends to slide from time to time.
