Hey guys,
I've never caught a catfish before. Wondering where I could catch them. Somewhere that has plenty of them for me to catch for, preferably in the lower mainland. By the way, are they any good eating? And what should I use for bait and what setup?
thanks. Ian ;D

Ugly but great eating, as for productive locations locally can't help you.

try deer lake in burnaby, just down from the hart house resturant off the little dock.

what set up do u use? A float? And r u serious...u catch a catfish everytime u cast?! Holy s**t! That's amazing! Ohh...too bad I have tests and don't know how to drive yet. OR else, those fish r goin down. Oh rite..let's get back on topic, do use the whole worm? or just bits of it? what hook size is it?
Thanks. I appreciate it!

I fish with adanac lots at sturgeon slough which is right by the pitt river. There are many catfish. Yes proboly almost every cast you will catch one useing about one quarter of a worm. But i do not think they are 10-14 inches.. Maybe 4-8 inches but they fight hard for little buggers.
