Fishing from 7:00 am to 12:00, hooked 5 fishes, landed 4, 2 sockeyes, 2 pinks, a lot of people there, hard to find a position if you are late.
Today the sockeyes are a little bit red.

Just follow the mass exodus from Vancouver into Chilliwack ;D

what is so good about peg leg?? its all i hear about.. is there a tiny pool that hundreds of fisherman have to line up beside??? .. is it actually worth going there?? it sounds like its good enough if you are willing to cope with huge crowds!!?

Peg is a large area with tons of space to fish. It is a very easy access bar on the outskirts of Chilliwack. You can litterally drive your car or truck up to the river bank and fish. Its kind of my home away from home only because its 10 minutes away. Lots of fish there, good current/bounce but man o man it gets to be a gong show! Guys lined up 6 feet apart. If you have a boat I would recommend going anywhere else.

6 feet! That would be a luxury!! ;)

I don't know why it's so popular, you think between Mission and Chilliwack there would be others bars available (which there is) I only fish there because it's the closest bar to me and that saves big on gas!
-
Laidlaw is the same way. I was there yesterday. I arrived there at 5:30am and no word of a lie there were at least 40 vehicles already. :o. So I think that any walk on bar will be packed.

do these places thin out durning the week, or will it be a mad house until the sox's close??? Is there anywhere else that you can get to in a canoe?

But school starts, but that is only one day!
