I'm not really into the GONG scene, but I am kinda' interested in getting some sockeye. Where else could a person go besides Peg Leg? Also, I've never fished for sockeye before. What would be a recommended hook-up, leader length, weight, etc? Any help would be appreciated. Oh yeah, I only have a freshwater license, so lower river is no good for me. Thanks.

If someone mentions a spot on here, it will be a gong tomorrow, guaranteed!

After continued reading, I may wait for the sockeye fishery to pass. Too stressful!

Just go and try it! Just be prepared! Holes open and you have to jump in! Keep your leader to 9-10 feet and relax, If you change hooks or leader stay in line! But be calm and go with the flow! But be prepared! It can be fun! Later in the day is best as many go home even at Peg Leg! But really lightens at Scale Bar!

Yah what people dont realize is you dont have to go at 3am to get a spot you can come in the middle of the day and lots of the early birds leave cuz they get their catch. You might have to sit down on the good old chair and wait few but lots of people leave cuz its pretty easy to get your limit.
