Title: Stave Chrome Nov.2
Post by: funfisher on November 02, 2005, 05:09:14 PM
Went out first light this morning and hooked and landed a nice chromer weighing in at 6.4lbs on the digital scale.  Didn't see any other coho caught the rest of the morning.  Got her down by the highway bridge.  As soon as I can figure out this photobucket thing I will post the pics. I already downloaded it and made my album but I can't figure out how to post them here yet.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

ive heard lots about the stave, can you get a drift with wool there, or are blades and spinners the way to go.

Spent all day around the west side. Fresh chum in the morning, but back to old-stock in the afternoon. Didn't see any coho being caught. Water levels were normal. Most anglers were casting spoons, quite a few fly fishing too. I stuck with short floating and peach wool. Whilst I didn't "hook up" as often as the spoon casters, I had fewer snags. Next season - I will try the fly!!
