Is there any sight or way of checking the water level before I go. I really want to head out tomorrow but dont know if it is blown by the canyon.

Combine the result for Chilliwack (Sleese Creek) and Stave River ( above Stave Lake) You'll get a good picture of what Chehalis is like.

If it's been raining for a day it's coming up.  If it's been raining for 2 days it's good..  If it's been raining for a week it's still good.  If it's been raining HEAVY for a day it's blown out.  That's the only way to check it with out going there.
