Well, I made it down the road for about an hr and a half this morning!! But, I hit the tide all wrong and it was a good way out when I got there!! My buddy had been there since 4:30 in the morning though. He got into 5 before I got there. So I figured that I would throw it in for a bit. Had a couple of taps, and actually got up to pick up the rod once!! But to no avail, whatever had been playing with it was gone!! Then, my buddies rod started going off, after a min or so, hook set and he is into a spirited battle with a 4 and a half footer. After that release, about 20 min later he is getting the sturgy tap again!!
Hook set and he is into another one, this one though is the smallest one I had seen yet this year!! Just under 2 feet. At this point, I really had to go to the can!! So, I packed it up, and since the low tide is basically useless at this spot, I called it a day!!
But, I will be back out there next weekend giving it a go!! Still haven't hooked into one yet this year, mind you, I have only been out about a total of 3-4 hrs for them!!
But all that will change!!
Get out there boys, they are around!!
