We are having another Chironomid Seminar due to overwhelming demand! The first one was fantastic and completely sold out with over 20 people in attendance!
We are limiting the seating of this event to 20 people so please sign up right away if you are interested.
Here are the details:
It is widely known that chironomids are the number one food source for trout in BCs prolific lakes. Therefore it should be no surprise that to be a top stillwater angler you need to have a solid understanding of the chironomid life cycle and the flies and techniques used to imitate them. That being said surprisingly few anglers have taken the time to become true masters of this discipline. Those that have are the ones we see on the lakes catching the largest fish and having the most consistent fishing. For this reason we are pleased to offer our intensive Chironomid Seminar taught by Trevor Welton.
Become a successful chironomid angler and learn the techniques and secrets of expert chironomid fisherman Trevor Welton. Trevor has an extensive fishing career dating back to his days in the retail tackle business at the age of 16. Since then he has become one of the top fly fisherman in the province as well as a fisheries biologist working for Dillon Consulting. He was recently awarded a Bronze Medal in the Canadian National Fly Fishing Championships and was appointed to Team Canada to participate in the upcoming 2006 World Championships in Portugal.
The following topics will be covered in great detail
Entomology and life history
Boat set up and anchoring
Equipment choice and proper setup
Chironomid Angling techniques
Lake bathymetry
