I'll tell Mark today, Rodney.  Although I just checked the link and it seems to work for me.

I mean the main paved road that runs along one side of the lake.  If that is west, then the bay is south.
Good luck!

Oh, and leave some fish in stowell for my kids!

Thanks again J-global.  I dragged some pop gear through there a couple of times and didn't do any good.  The last few days, however, people trolling serious pop gear have been picking up a few trout.  Abou a week ago someone caught and released a largish rainbow on a fly in the shallow bay to the right of where we are staying, so I have been mostly fly fishing, hoping to pick up a trout, but otherwise content to play with the bass.  I didn't take many out of Stowell.  I really liked fishing there.  Four or five hours could go by fast.

Well, this trip is about over--the boat is deflated and packed away.  Tomorrow we make our way to Vancouver, Monday the not-as-trusty-as-it-used-to-be truck gets serviced at the place that bailed me out a couple of summers ago.  Then a week or so in Oregon, then on to our place in Urique, Mexico for the rainy season.

It's been a great time -- I've gained some skills and gotten a lot of confindence re fly fishing in lakes and using my pontoon boat.  I know what equipment I need for the next step.  I have some stories to embellish on.  We are already talking about where to go next time.  I think I want another shot at Palmer lake (I've been telling Violeta stories about the white pelicans there--she's interested).

Staying at Lakeside Gardens has been a pleasure.  We have been treated very well.  If anyone wants a more detailed testimonial about what it is like to rent from Mark for more than a few days, please just ask me.

I'm down to just one fly rod out, and just the fly that's on it.  It's beautiful out, little wind gusts, there are about half a dozen teen age boys fishing along the bank.  It's a nice scene.  I stood on the dock and caught a couple of little ones just to show them how it's done.  Hooked a larger one.  Lost the fly.  Life isn't all that bad.
