Well made our yearly trip out to fawn to fish for some trout. This year we were going to try fishing deka.We Arrived late wensday night. Took the pontoon out thursday morning and fished for about 6-7 hours that day. Fished cronomids in about 10 feet of water. Only getting 4 to the boat. Bigest being just under 15 inches. Not the best day. On friday we made our way to deka. For the first little while we were trolling full sink lines using various patterns. landing only a huge kokanee reaching almost 18 inches. That was the only kokanee for the day. However we did land many trout. At around 3, we made our way to the bigger lake to try and get some lakers. We fished there for about an hour and the roeman had the only hookup, which he landed. A nice 20 inch bronze laker. First ever char for him, so he was happy
. Trolled there for about an hour then decided to pack er in. Saturday morning we all decided on going to deka once more for the morning. We trolled the small lake from 9 till 12 landing 5 or 6 trout but no kokanee
. We then fished fawn for the evening. My uncle landed a fat 18.5 incher weighing in at 3lbs. That evening fishing seemed to be a little slow on chronomids so i changed up to a little shrimp, and i was succesfull landing 5 from 12 till 3. Later right before night the fish were boiling everywere feeding on surface. So me and the roeman through on some dry flies and hooked tons. Most of them were little fat 14 inchers. We eached bonked 2 and had a nice little feast that night. Then on sunday morning we packed. Will post pics later
